Another common treatment for
wrinkles and acne scars is carbon dioxide laser resurfacing.
This is an aggressive treatment (also called wrinkle laser, lasabrasion, laser peel, laser surgery, laser vaporization,
laser desurfacing, and several others) that can help eliminate wrinkles and acne. Once the laser resurfacing is done,
it will generally take ten days for a new layer of skin to appear followed by some skin irritation (redness) for a couple months.
The procedure is achieved by removing the top layer of skin while penetrating many of the deeper layers which causes the skin to
tighten over time. Please contact your local cosmetic surgeon for more details.
